FAQ: Logo Design

A: You receive a dedicated service from a business that will deliver you a quality logo and the customer care to match.
A: Once the client has paid in full for the approved logo, then the logo is the property of the client.
A: After receiving the deposit, we will proceed with the design work giving you 2 or 3 examples to choose from. *Sometimes we create more than 2 or 3 logo options, it just depends on us, if we have more ideas to offer and if the over all budget allows us that extra time to be even more creative.

We will send you an email link so you can then view your logo proof sheet. We are happy to make amendments if required. It’s all part of the design proofing process. The majority of our logo designs within our portfolio have proofing sheets, so please take a look.
A: If you are happy with our quoted price, then we will send you a pdf invoice for the deposit. Then once we have your final approval, then we will ask for the balance.

We don't ask for FULL payment upfront:
We believe in our abilities as logo designers, as you can see from our logo portfolio. But we do need to ask for a deposit depending on the design fee. So if the design price has been approved between £85 - £125, we will only ask for £50+vat deposit as a gesture of good faith.

This gives FG Design piece of mind and for your piece of mind, you can see all of our design work throughout this website, which hopefully shows you that we are a professional dedicated design studio. FG Design has been in business since July 1996 and we have many years of design experience, so you and your company couldn't be in better hands.

Once the logo is approved, we only then send you an invoice for the balance, and once we have received your payment, then we will release the logo to you.
A: After we have your approval of the logo, we will send you a .jpg file which is the most well used.

If we are also creating your business cards, flyers and a website for you, then we will still send you a logo file so you have received something.

Our logos are of a high enough quality that they can be used for stationery and brochure printing.

If you require the logo for van signage or banners for large format printing, then we would need to create a larger logo for you which may require an additional fee, depending on the logo. But if it's completely graphic with no actual images/photos, then we can do that for free.

One logo will not suit all, it can't be enlarged too big or it will affect the over all quality.

If the roller banner is produce by FG Design, then we will of course wave any addional fees that may be incured.
A: Once we have clarified your design brief, so we are all on the same page design wise, then we will book in the job and give you a time scale and starting date. This is normally 5-7 working days.

FAQ: Stationery, Brochure, Banner Design with Printing

A: Once we have all the information, as mentioned on our Stationery Design, Brochure Design & Banner Design web pages, we will start the designing process. Using your company logo, if supplied or designed by us, we will reference colours and styles, maybe reference your website if you have one.

If we need to discuss any points regarding the information you have sent us, we will do this before any designing takes place. So both parties are on the same "design page" going forward.
A: For Business Cards, we use white 400gsm silk or Gloss card. For Letterheads and Compliment Slips we use 100gsm bond paper. If your letterheads require double sided printing, for terms and conditions etc, then we use 120gsm or Conqueror. We will of course give you options on pricing via email if double sided is required.

For Brochure printing, Flyers and Presentation Folders, just like we produced for Brewer Loft Conversions from Hampshire, its usually 300gsm card, but we will confirm spec via email at quote stage. 4pp Brochures on 300gsm card are creased to avoid material cracking.
A: Roller Banners are printed on a 600gsm blockout PVC the aluminium casing of the banner stand is made to a high specification and twin fold out support feet keep the stand stable when in use.

A: PVC Vinyl Banners are printed on a heavyweight 600gsm PVC Waterproof material which is UV Stable for up to 3 Years outdoors with heat welded seam around the edges as standard and Nickel plate eyelets at approx 1M intervals to give a strong flexible fixing for your vinyl banner.

A: Shimmer Flag Banners are printed on a 110gsm textile flag material. Graphic printing for the flag is single sided but the reverse side of the print shows through as mirror image to the front with around 90% opacity as is the case with most flags. The base of the Shimmer Flag Banner can be filled up with either water or better still sand to provide ballast.
A: The business cards, flyers and brochures can either be machine finished, so you can write on them i.e. appointment cards or Matt or Gloss Laminated for a quality sealed finish.
A: If you are happy with our quote price, then we will proceed to the design proofing stage, giving you examples to choose from.

Our designs will be proofed to you on-line for your approval.

From the examples we have presented for your approval, we are more than happy to make amendments/changes if required. This is all part of the design proofing process, making sure you are happy with the colours, text size and of course the overall design.

Once the design is approved, only then do we send you an invoice and once we have received your payment in full, then we will move forward with the printing production and delivery which is included in the price.

If you are an existing client of ours, then we don't ask for a deposit.
